Gregory managed the development team for the output solutions department using waterfall, SDLC, and agile methodologies He worked with team members who had various skill sets such as >NET, ASP.NET, Extream Dialogue, Python, COBOL, Perl, MVC, JQuery, and HTML 5. He always had between six to twelve direct reports who resided in multiple locations across the US and India. He used Jira to track stories in sprints and KanBan boards. Gregory also served as a member of the solution architecture committee where he gave guidance on new system solutions throughout the organization. He was responsible for refining the processes and procedures for the development team and ensuring that they were followed. He on both SaaS, continuous integration and plan on cadence, release on demand. His strengths in articulating complex technical concepts allowed him to advise upper management on decision making for his department often. He managed a team and implemented many multi-million dollar contracts for large client projects often spanning multiple months. Some key responsibilities included onboarding new clients, redesigns of current clients, and converting from one platform to another. The data feeds often involved XML, CSV, pipe delimited, line mode, and pre-composed (Postscript, PDF, and AFP).

Gregory managed the development team for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. While leading that team, he implemented effective development processes which teams such as development, BA, QA, and DBA reported improved quality, efficiency, and morale. Gregory spent time managing a few other large clients software development teams as well. He also served in roles such as release manager, source safe manager, and team lead. His responsibilities varied in each of these roles. As the software development manager, he was responsible for team members to ensure their work was done with high quality, diligence, and in a reasonable amount of time for scheduled releases to production support, using and enforcing the SDLC and 3-tier architecture plus database design.

Gregory started out as a lead developer and quickly transitioned into project management. Eventually, ha managed, architected, designed and developed the largest IT project in his department which was the Weichert Gold Services website (www.weichertgold.com) for the Financial Services division of Weichert Realtors. The website had to interface with an existing client/server application and enhance functionality for the web. This provided a B2B opportunity which Weichert employees had with outside vendors and associates. During his time at Weichert Realtors, he managed and motivated a team of five developers and analysts. Gregory advised architecting the five server web farm, load balancer, and image server, and numerous SQL Server 2000 database servers. He also architected and then managed the business to business web application portal between Weichert Gold Services and its product partners.

Gregory used Microsoft's Visual Basic 6.0 and Interdev 6.0 skills to develop a web application, using VB Script, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, COM, MTS, and SMTP Server. He was responsible for updating the Microsoft's SQL Server 7.0 database and producing the database diagram. Gregory created an online web-based defect tracking system to keep track of defects and incidents found in the system. He was responsible for browser constraints and differences between Internet Explorer and Netscape.
