Worked on projects for two startups and a fortune 500 retailer. Spent most of his time working on two-person teams where he was responsible for software development and DevOps.

Fortune 500 Retailer 

  • Part of a two-person team that was responsible for all software
    development and DevOps related to a rewards program that served nearly 10 million customers
  • Maintained / enhanced existing (C# .NET/MSSQL) n-tier system
  • Designed, built, and launched API (Python/Django/DRF/PostgreSQL) exposing all rewards functionality for integration into the primary e-commerce site and successfully completed the integration
  • Built and launched a new SMS / mobile coupon (Apple Passbook / Google Wallet) based rewards and grew to nearly 1 million users.

  • Built out managed DevOps infrastructure on Chef / AWS.

  • Managed a small team and the hands-on DevOps tech lead. Made significant improvements to existing product architecture (co-located Java/Windows/MSSQL/Solr) and built out an all-new production infrastructure for product re-write on AWS (Ruby on Rails/Linux/MySQL/Solr)
